Cookies We Use

BrewTool runs on the Shopify platform. The following cookies are stored on your computer by Shopify, and are necessary for the operation of the website:

_session_id
Allows Shopify to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, etc). (Unique token, sessional)

_shopify_visit
Persistent for 30 minutes from the last visit, Used by our website provider’s internal stats tracker to record the number of visits. (No data held)

_shopify_uniq
Counts the number of visits to a store by a single customer. (No data held, expires midnight [relative to the visitor] of the next day)

cart
Stores information about the contents of your cart. (Unique token, persistent for 2 weeks)

_secure_session_id
(Unique token, sessional)

storefront_digest
If the shop has a password, this is used to determine if the current visitor has access. (Unique token, indefinite)

In addition, we track visitor activity using Google Analytics, which also stores cookies on your browser. To opt out of Google Analytics, you can choose to install a browser extension, available here. The following cookies are stored on your computer by Google:

_ga
Used to distinguish users. (Expires after 2 years)

_gid
Used to distinguish users. (Expires after 1 year)

_gat
Used to throttle request rate. If Google Analytics is deployed via Google Tag Manager, this cookie will be named _dc_gtm_<property-id>.

AMP_TOKEN
Contains a token that can be used to retrieve a Client ID from AMP Client ID service. Other possible values indicate opt-out, inflight request or an error retrieving a Client ID from AMP Client ID service. (Expires between 30 seconds to 1 year)

_gac_<property-id>
Contains campaign related information for the user. If you have linked your Google Analytics and AdWords accounts, AdWords website conversion tags will read this cookie unless you opt-out.
