The Bellman Coffee Maker is a perfect all-in-one solution for brewing coffee and steaming milk.
The Bellman CX-25 (or "Bellman Cappuccino") is similar to a moka pot in how it operates, pushing steam through ground coffee to produce a rich flavoured drink. The unique feature of this coffee maker is the additional steam wand, meaning you can efficiently use the same pressure to steam your milk. It's like the Atomic Coffee Maker for the modern age.
For even greater control, the Bellman Stovetop Steamer is also available with a pressure gauge (Bellman CX-25P). This model has a real steampunk vibe to it and we think the gnarly utilitarian aesthetic looks fantastic.
For milk steaming, we've achieved the best results by filling the chamber halfway with water, heating it until steam starts venting from the pressure-relief valve (this takes approx 15 minutes), and slowly turning the flow on once the arm is submerged below the milk. Soon you'll have a vortex going, and all the bubbles will combine. Heat the milk until the bottom of the jug is too hot to touch, and you're ready to pour. (Make sure to wipe the arm with a damp cloth to remove any milk residue.)
We also have a stainless steel foaming jug that pairs perfectly with the Bellman, with etched measurements on the inside for extra precision.
If you're already sorted for coffee making, the Bellman is also available as a standalone solution for milk steaming. Check out the Bellman CX-25S!
